White Flare Elite Trainer Box

The White Flare Elite Trainer Box brings the Pokémon of the Unova region together in a premium collection designed for both players and collectors.

Released on July 18, 2025, White Flare is one half of a special split expansion alongside Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt. While Black Bolt focuses on one side of Unova’s Legendary themes, White Flare brings its own card pool, artwork and Tornadus-themed identity.

The standard White Flare Elite Trainer Box contains nine White Flare booster packs, a full-art foil Tornadus promo card, 65 card sleeves, Energy cards, dice, condition markers, a player’s guide and a collector’s storage box.

For collectors building an Unova collection and players preparing for Pokémon TCG battles, the White Flare ETB offers a combination of sealed packs and practical accessories in one product.

What Is the White Flare Elite Trainer Box?

The White Flare Elite Trainer Box, commonly called the White Flare ETB, is a premium sealed Pokémon TCG product from the Scarlet & Violet series.

It combines booster packs with gameplay accessories and a fixed promotional card.

Unlike a Booster Bundle, which focuses primarily on booster packs, an Elite Trainer Box is designed to provide a broader Pokémon TCG experience.

What Comes Inside the White Flare ETB?

The White Flare Elite Trainer Box contains several components designed for opening packs, organizing cards and playing the Pokémon TCG.

1. Nine White Flare Booster Packs

The ETB includes nine Scarlet & Violet—White Flare booster packs.

These packs contain randomized cards from the White Flare expansion.

Nine packs provide collectors with multiple opportunities to discover different Pokémon, Trainer cards and higher-rarity cards.

However, the contents of individual booster packs are random. The ETB does not guarantee a specific chase card.

The fixed card in the box is the Tornadus promo.

2. Full-Art Foil Tornadus Promo Card

The standard White Flare ETB includes a full-art foil promo card featuring Tornadus.

Tornadus is one of the Legendary Pokémon associated with the Unova region.

The promo gives the ETB a distinctive collectible card that is separate from the randomized cards found inside the nine booster packs.

For collectors, this makes Tornadus an important part of the White Flare Elite Trainer Box’s identity.

3. 65 White Flare-Themed Card Sleeves

The box contains 65 card sleeves.

That is enough to sleeve a standard 60-card Pokémon TCG deck, with five extra sleeves remaining.

The sleeves are designed to complement the White Flare theme and can be used to protect cards during gameplay.

Collectors may also choose to preserve the sleeves as part of the original ETB contents.

4. 45 Pokémon TCG Energy Cards

The White Flare ETB includes 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards.

Energy cards are fundamental to Pokémon TCG gameplay because Pokémon generally need Energy attached to use their attacks.

The Energy cards therefore make the ETB useful to players who are building or modifying decks.

5. Six Damage-Counter Dice

The ETB contains six damage-counter dice.

These are used during Pokémon TCG games to keep track of damage placed on Pokémon.

They are part of the standard gameplay accessories included with the Elite Trainer Box.

6. Competition-Legal Coin-Flip Die

The White Flare ETB also includes one competition-legal coin-flip die.

Some Pokémon TCG cards require players to flip a coin to determine an effect.

A dedicated coin-flip die provides a convenient way to handle those situations during play.

7. Two Plastic Condition Markers

Two plastic condition markers are included.

These markers help players identify special conditions affecting Pokémon during a game.

Together with the damage-counter dice and coin-flip die, they provide useful gameplay equipment straight from the box.

8. White Flare Player’s Guide

The ETB contains a player’s guide to the Scarlet & Violet—White Flare expansion.

The guide can help collectors become familiar with the expansion and explore its available cards.

It can also serve as a useful reference when organizing a growing White Flare collection.

9. Collector’s Box With Four Dividers

The Elite Trainer Box includes a sturdy collector’s box with four dividers.

The box can be used to store Pokémon cards and accessories after opening the ETB.

The dividers allow collectors to separate different parts of their collection.

For example, you could organize:

• Pokémon cards
• Trainer cards
• Energy cards
• Duplicate cards
• Cards being prepared for decks

This means the storage box remains useful even after the booster packs are opened.

10. Pokémon TCG Live Code Card

A Pokémon TCG Live code card is also included.

This provides a digital component alongside the physical Pokémon TCG contents.

It is an additional feature of the ETB rather than part of the nine physical booster packs.

What Is Scarlet & Violet—White Flare?

Scarlet & Violet—White Flare is one half of a special Unova-focused Pokémon TCG release.

Its companion expansion is Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt.

The two expansions have separate card pools but are designed around the same region.

Together, Black Bolt and White Flare feature every Pokémon first discovered in the Unova region.

This gives collectors a major Unova-focused collecting project.

The Unova Region Takes Center Stage

Unova was introduced in Pokémon Black and Pokémon White.

The region is home to many popular Pokémon, including the original Unova starter Pokémon:

• Snivy
• Tepig
• Oshawott

It also introduced Legendary Pokémon such as Reshiram, Zekrom, Tornadus and Thundurus.

White Flare draws from this large group of Unova Pokémon, making the expansion particularly relevant to fans of the fifth Pokémon generation.

Tornadus and the White Flare Theme

Tornadus is the Legendary Pokémon featured on the White Flare ETB’s promo card.

Its inclusion gives the product a clear identity alongside Black Bolt’s Thundurus-themed ETB.

Pokémon describes the two products as complementary Elite Trainer Boxes, each containing its own expansion’s booster packs, promo Pokémon and themed accessories.

This creates a natural connection between the two ETBs for collectors interested in completing the paired release.

White Flare Card Collection

The White Flare expansion contains more than 170 cards, according to Pokémon’s official product information.

The expansion includes different card treatments and rarities that give collectors multiple ways to approach the set.

Pokémon specifically highlights:

• Special illustrations
• Poké Ball-pattern parallel cards
• Unova Pokémon
• Pokémon ex
• Higher-rarity cards

This means collectors can focus on individual Pokémon, specific rarities or the larger Unova collection.

Special Illustration Cards

One of the attractions of White Flare is its special artwork.

Pokémon specifically encourages collectors to look for special illustrations of the Pokémon appearing in the Black Bolt and White Flare expansions.

These cards can add another visual layer to a collection.

Collectors who enjoy artwork-focused Pokémon cards may choose to build a collection around these illustrations rather than focusing only on standard cards.

Poké Ball-Pattern Parallel Cards

White Flare also features parallel cards with Poké Ball patterns.

These variations provide another collecting category within the expansion.

For collectors who enjoy card variants, the parallel cards can become an important part of exploring the White Flare checklist.

White Flare Elite Trainer Box for Collectors

The ETB provides several different collecting opportunities.

Building a White Flare Collection

The nine booster packs give collectors a starting point for exploring the expansion.

With more than 170 cards in White Flare, there are many different cards and artwork treatments to discover.

Collecting Unova Pokémon

Because White Flare is part of the paired Unova release, collectors can also use the ETB as part of a larger regional collection.

A collector could work toward gathering Pokémon from across the Unova Pokédex, including Pokémon found in both Black Bolt and White Flare.

Collecting the Tornadus Promo

The fixed full-art Tornadus promo provides a card that is directly associated with the White Flare ETB.

Unlike the cards in the booster packs, the promo is not dependent on random booster-pack contents.

White Flare ETB for Pokémon TCG Players

The White Flare ETB is also designed with gameplay in mind.

The included accessories can be used during Pokémon TCG matches:

• 65 card sleeves
• 45 Energy cards
• Six damage-counter dice
• One coin-flip die
• Two condition markers
• Collector’s box
• Four dividers

The nine booster packs can also add cards to a player’s collection.

However, the ETB is not a ready-to-play deck.

Players still need to build a deck from their available cards because the booster packs contain randomized cards.

White Flare ETB vs Booster Bundle

The White Flare Elite Trainer Box and White Flare Booster Bundle have different configurations.

The Booster Bundle contains six White Flare booster packs, while the ETB contains nine packs plus a promo card and gameplay accessories.

White Flare ETB vs Black Bolt ETB

The White Flare and Black Bolt Elite Trainer Boxes are companion products.

Both contain nine booster packs and a similar collection of gameplay accessories.

The major differences are the expansion represented by the booster packs and the featured promo Pokémon.

Booster packs	9	9
Promo Pokémon	Tornadus	Thundurus
Card sleeves	65	65
Energy cards	45	45

Main region	Unova	Unova

Pokémon officially describes the two ETBs as companion products with their own unique booster packs, promo cards and themed accessories.

For collectors interested in the full Unova experience, the two products can be viewed as complementary parts of the same release.

Pokémon Center White Flare Elite Trainer Box

There is also a Pokémon Center version of the White Flare Elite Trainer Box.

This version has a different configuration from the standard ETB.

The Pokémon Center White Flare ETB contains 11 White Flare booster packs, two more than the standard version, along with two full-art foil Tornadus promo cards. One of the promos features the Pokémon Center logo.

The Pokémon Center version also retains the other major ETB accessories, including the 65 sleeves, 45 Energy cards, dice, condition markers, player’s guide and collector’s box.

This distinction is important for collectors because the standard retail ETB and Pokémon Center ETB are separate products.

Why the White Flare ETB Stands Out

The White Flare Elite Trainer Box combines three major aspects of Pokémon TCG collecting.

First, there are the nine booster packs for discovering cards from the expansion.

Second, there is the Tornadus promo card, which gives the product a fixed collectible.

Third, there are the gameplay accessories and storage components that make the box useful after opening.

The strong Unova theme ties all these components together.
