Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection

The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection is a collector-focused product designed around the Unova region. Released on July 18, 2025, it combines five White Flare booster packs with a thematic 9-pocket binder and a collector’s card list.

White Flare is one half of a special two-part Unova release. It launched alongside Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt, with each expansion containing its own exclusive cards. Together, the two sets feature all 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region.

For collectors, the White Flare Binder Collection offers a simple way to start organizing cards from the expansion. The binder can also become part of a larger Unova collection as you find more cards.

What Is the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection?

The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection is a Pokémon TCG product made primarily for collectors and card storage.

Its main feature is a thematic 9-pocket binder. Pokémon describes the binder as a way to keep track of your Pokémon collection, much like a Pokédex. The product also includes five White Flare booster packs and a collector’s card list.

Each White Flare Binder Collection includes:

• 1 thematic 9-pocket binder
• 5 Scarlet & Violet—White Flare booster packs
• 1 collector’s card list

The product does not include a promo card, dice, Energy cards, or card sleeves. Its focus is on collecting, opening booster packs, and organizing cards.

Explore the Unova Region

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection takes collectors back to Unova, the region introduced in Pokémon Black and Pokémon White.

The two-part Black Bolt and White Flare release gives collectors a chance to revisit Pokémon from this generation through modern Pokémon TCG artwork. Pokémon confirms that the combined expansions cover all 156 Pokémon originally discovered in Unova.

White Flare has its own exclusive card pool. This means collectors need to pay attention to which expansion contains the Pokémon or Trainer cards they want.

Some Pokémon highlighted in White Flare include:

• Samurott
• Zoroark
• Emboar
• Jellicent ex
• Archeops
• Hilda
• Tepig
• Oshawott
• Reshiram
• Other Pokémon originally discovered in Unova

The separate card pools give Black Bolt and White Flare their own identities while allowing the two expansions to work together as a broader Unova collection.

Five Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection

The White Flare Binder Collection includes five Scarlet & Violet—White Flare booster packs.

These packs provide the opening part of the collection. Each booster contains randomized cards from White Flare, giving collectors a chance to discover different Pokémon, Trainers, and rarities.

The five packs can serve as a starting point for a new White Flare collection.

After opening them, you can organize your cards in the included binder and use the collector’s list to track the cards you have found.

Because booster contents are randomized, the five packs do not guarantee specific cards.

The 9-Pocket Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection

The 9-pocket binder is the main feature of the product.

A 9-pocket layout provides three card spaces across and three down on each page. This gives collectors a clear way to display their cards rather than storing them loose in boxes.

The binder can be organized in several ways.

You could arrange cards by:

• Pokémon number
• Evolution line
• Card rarity
• Pokémon type
• Favorite characters
• Special artwork
• Pokémon ex cards

For collectors who enjoy completing sets, the binder can also act as a visual checklist.

Build Your Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection Pokédex

One of the most interesting ways to use the binder is to treat it like a small Pokédex.

You can start with the cards pulled from the five booster packs. As you collect additional White Flare cards, fill the empty spaces and arrange the Pokémon in your preferred order.

This approach works particularly well because the product itself is designed around the idea of tracking a Pokémon collection like a Pokédex.

A simple collecting system could look like this:

1. Open the five booster packs.
2. Sort your cards.
3. Check the collector’s card list.
4. Identify missing cards.
5. Place your cards into the binder.
6. Keep duplicate cards separately.
7. Add new cards as your collection grows.

This keeps the collection organized from the beginning.

Samurott and the White Flare Starter Pokémon

One of the Pokémon highlighted in White Flare is Samurott, the final evolution of the Unova Water-type starter Oshawott.

The official Pokémon preview showcases Samurott in an illustration by artist DOM. The card presents Samurott in a peaceful outdoor setting, giving the Pokémon a different visual feel from a traditional battle scene.

The Unova starters are an important part of the region’s identity.

Collectors can therefore use the White Flare binder to keep starter Pokémon and their evolution lines together.

This can make the collection easier to follow while also creating visually themed binder pages.

Zoroark and Its Unova Connection

Zoroark is another notable Pokémon featured in White Flare.

The official Pokémon preview highlights a Zoroark card with the Mind Jack attack. The card also includes Foul Play, which allows Zoroark to copy an attack from the opponent’s Active Pokémon under the card’s stated conditions.

Zoroark is strongly associated with the Unova generation, making it a natural fit for this expansion.

For collectors, Zoroark can also be a useful centerpiece for a themed binder page.

Emboar and Hilda

White Flare also features Emboar and Hilda.

Hilda is a Supporter card that allows the player to search for an Evolution Pokémon and an Energy card. The official Pokémon preview notes that this was Hilda’s first English appearance in the Pokémon TCG.

Emboar, meanwhile, features the Inferno Fandango Ability, which allows Basic Fire Energy to be attached from the player’s hand to Pokémon during the turn.

These cards demonstrate that White Flare is not focused only on Pokémon artwork. The expansion also introduces Trainer cards and gameplay mechanics that can interest players.

Jellicent ex and Other White Flare Cards

White Flare includes Pokémon ex cards alongside regular Pokémon and Trainer cards.

One example is Jellicent ex, which features the Oceanic Curse Ability. According to Pokémon’s official preview, this Ability can prevent an opponent from playing Item and Pokémon Tool cards from their hand while Jellicent ex is Active.

Other cards featured in official White Flare previews include Archeops and Samurott.

This mix gives collectors more than one reason to explore the expansion.

You can collect White Flare for:

• Unova Pokémon
• Pokémon ex
• Trainer cards
• Special illustrations
• Gameplay-focused cards
• Favorite Pokémon
• Different card rarities

White Flare Special Illustrations

One of the major attractions of the Black Bolt and White Flare expansions is their artwork.

Pokémon has highlighted special illustrations across the two expansions. The sets also include distinctive Black White Rare cards featuring monochromatic black or white artwork.

These cards can add another level to binder collecting.

A collector may choose to dedicate individual binder pages to special artwork cards instead of arranging every card in numerical order.

This can turn the binder into a display collection rather than simply a storage solution.

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—White Flare Binder Collection vs Black Bolt Binder Collection

The White Flare Binder Collection has a companion product: the Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt Binder Collection.

Both products launched on July 18, 2025 and contain the same basic product structure. The main difference is the expansion included in the booster packs and the corresponding binder theme.

Booster Packs	5 White Flare	5 Black Bolt
Collector’s Card List	Yes	Yes
