Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box

The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box is one of the main sealed products from the Chaos Rising expansion. Released on May 22, 2026, the set takes Pokémon TCG players into the chaos of Lumiose City, with Mega Evolution Pokémon ex at the center of the story.

The expansion features powerful Pokémon including Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, and Mega Dragalge ex, while Mega Floette ex creates chaos across the city. )

For collectors and players, the Chaos Rising ETB offers booster packs, an exclusive Fennekin full-art foil promo, card sleeves, Energy cards, dice, dividers, and storage.

But what exactly comes inside the box? How is it different from the Pokémon Center version? And should you buy one for your collection?

What Is the Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box?

The Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box is a sealed Pokémon TCG product from the Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising expansion.

An ETB combines booster packs with Pokémon TCG accessories. This makes it useful for both players and collectors.

The Chaos Rising ETB is particularly interesting because it comes with an ETB-exclusive Fennekin full-art foil promo card.

You can use the box to:

Open Chaos Rising booster packs
Expand your Pokémon card collection
Protect cards with sleeves
Build and test decks
Organize cards and accessories
Collect sealed Pokémon TCG products

What Comes Inside the Chaos Rising ETB?

The standard Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box includes nine booster packs and one full-art foil Fennekin promo card. It also comes with gameplay accessories and a collector’s storage box.

Here is the complete contents:

9 Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising booster packs
1 full-art foil Fennekin promo card
65 card sleeves
40 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
Chaos Rising player’s guide
6 damage-counter dice
1 competition-legal coin-flip die
1 plastic coin
1 collector’s storage box
6 dividers
1 Pokémon TCG Live code card

This gives the ETB value beyond the booster packs alone.

Chaos Rising Booster Packs

The nine Chaos Rising booster packs are one of the biggest reasons collectors buy the ETB.

Each booster pack contains randomized cards, so there is no guarantee that you will pull a specific Mega Evolution Pokémon or rare card.

The set features more than 120 cards and includes a substantial selection of special illustrations.

The booster packs give collectors a chance to discover cards such as:

Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
Illustration Rare cards
Ultra Rare cards
Special Illustration Rare cards
Mega Hyper Rare cards
Trainer cards
Other Pokémon cards

If you are trying to obtain one specific card, however, buying the single may be more efficient than opening multiple packs.

The Fennekin Full-Art Promo Card

One of the defining features of the standard Chaos Rising ETB is the full-art foil Fennekin promo card.

Unlike cards pulled randomly from booster packs, the Fennekin promo comes directly inside the Elite Trainer Box.

This makes it particularly relevant to collectors who want to complete their promotional card collection.

If you open the ETB, it is a good idea to place the promo into a protective sleeve immediately. This reduces the risk of scratches, fingerprints, and edge damage.

For collectors, the condition of a card can be important.

What Is Chaos Rising About?

The Chaos Rising expansion takes place against the backdrop of Lumiose City.

The story centers on Mega Floette ex, which brings chaos and destruction to the city. Mega Greninja ex responds by gathering other powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon, including Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex. (Pokémon)

This gives the expansion a strong visual identity.

The artwork and themes connect with the world of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, making Chaos Rising particularly interesting for fans of the Lumiose City setting. )

Mega Greninja ex and Other Pokémon

Mega Greninja ex is one of the major Pokémon associated with Chaos Rising.

The expansion also features:

Mega Floette ex
Mega Pyroar ex
Mega Dragalge ex
Other Mega Evolution Pokémon
Trainer cards
Special-art Pokémon

The combination gives collectors several different card types to chase.

For collectors who focus on Mega Evolution, Chaos Rising provides another expansion to explore within the modern Mega Evolution Series.

Standard ETB vs. Pokémon Center ETB

Chaos Rising is available in both a standard Elite Trainer Box and a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.

The standard ETB includes nine booster packs and one Fennekin promo.

The Pokémon Center version includes 11 booster packs and two Fennekin full-art foil promo cards. One of those promos features a Pokémon Center logo.

Feature	Standard ETB	Pokémon Center ETB
Booster packs	9	11
Fennekin promos	1	2
Pokémon Center promo	No	Yes
Card sleeves	65	65
Energy cards	40	40
Player’s guide	Yes	Yes
Damage-counter dice	6	6
Coin-flip die	1	1
Plastic coin	1	1
Storage box	Yes	Yes
Dividers	6	6
Pokémon TCG Live code	Yes	Yes

The Pokémon Center edition therefore has additional contents that make it different from the standard retail ETB.

Chaos Rising ETB for Collectors

The ETB can be approached in two ways.

You can open it and enjoy the booster packs, promo card, and accessories. This is ideal if you enjoy opening Pokémon cards and building a collection.

You can also keep it sealed.

A sealed ETB preserves the original packaging and all of its contents. This can make it suitable for collectors who maintain sealed Pokémon TCG products from different expansions.

However, a sealed Pokémon product is not a guaranteed investment. Future prices can change based on supply, demand, condition, and collector interest.

Chaos Rising ETB for Players

The ETB also has practical value for Pokémon TCG players.

The card sleeves can protect a deck during gameplay. The Energy cards can be useful when building decks, while the dice and markers support actual play.

The booster packs also give players an opportunity to discover cards that could be useful for casual deck building.

However, players who already know which cards they need may find it more efficient to purchase individual cards instead of relying on random booster pulls.

What Should You Check Before Buying?

If you are buying a Chaos Rising ETB online, pay close attention to the exact product being offered.

Before purchasing, check:

Whether the ETB is factory sealed
The condition of the shrink wrap
The condition of the box
Whether it is the standard or Pokémon Center version
The number of booster packs
Which Fennekin promo is included
Seller reputation
Return policy
Product photographs
Current market prices

This is especially important because the standard and Pokémon Center ETBs are not identical.

A listing advertising 11 booster packs should be the Pokémon Center version, not the standard retail ETB.

Is the Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box Worth Buying?

Whether the Chaos Rising ETB is worth buying depends on your goal.

If you enjoy opening Pokémon booster packs, nine packs give you a solid opening experience.

If you collect promotional cards, the Fennekin full-art foil promo is an important part of the product.

If you play Pokémon TCG, the sleeves, Energy cards, dice, and other accessories have practical uses.

And if you collect sealed Pokémon products, the ETB represents a major product from the 2026 Chaos Rising expansion.

The Pokémon Center version offers additional contents, including 11 booster packs and two Fennekin promos.

The key is to decide whether you are buying to open, play, collect, or keep sealed.
