Meet Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates

pokemon tcg scarlet & violet paldean fates elite trainer box is a special expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series.

Its biggest theme is Shiny Pokémon. The expansion features more than 100 Shiny Pokémon, giving collectors a large selection of alternate-color Pokémon to discover.

The set also includes Pokémon ex, Shiny Tera Pokémon ex, Illustration Rare cards, Special Illustration Rare cards, and other higher-rarity cards.

Some of the Pokémon associated with Paldean Fates include:

• Shiny Pikachu
• Shiny Mimikyu
• Shiny Charizard ex
• Shiny Tinkaton
• Shiny Ceruledge
• Shiny Dondozo
• Shiny Forretress ex
• Shiny Espathra ex

This combination gives Paldean Fates a strong identity within the Scarlet & Violet collection.

The Shiny Pokémon Theme

The defining feature of pokemon tcg scarlet & violet paldean fates elite trainer box is its focus on Shiny Pokémon.

Unlike their standard counterparts, Shiny Pokémon have different color schemes. This makes them especially interesting to collectors who enjoy alternate artwork and unusual versions of familiar Pokémon.

Paldean Fates puts this concept at the center of the expansion rather than using Shiny Pokémon as a small side theme.

With more than 100 Shiny Pokémon in the set, collectors can explore a wide range of species and build collections around their favorite Pokémon.

The ETB fits this theme perfectly with its Shiny Mimikyu promo and matching sleeves.

Shiny Mimikyu Promo Card

One of the main attractions of the Paldean Fates Elite Trainer Box is the full-art foil Shiny Mimikyu promo card.

The card is included directly with the ETB, meaning collectors do not need to pull it randomly from a booster pack.

Mimikyu is already a popular Pokémon among collectors, and its Shiny form gives the character a different visual appearance.

The promo also matches the artwork on the 65 included card sleeves.

This creates a consistent Shiny Mimikyu theme across the product.

Nine pokemon tcg scarlet & violet paldean fates elite trainer box Packs

The standard Paldean Fates ETB contains nine booster packs.

Each pack contains randomly selected cards from the Paldean Fates expansion.

Because the cards are randomly packed, opening all nine packs does not guarantee a particular Shiny Pokémon, Pokémon ex, or other rare card.

Instead, each pack provides another opportunity to discover cards from the set.

Collectors may be searching for:

• Shiny Pokémon
• Shiny Pokémon ex
• Shiny Tera Pokémon ex
• Illustration Rare cards
• Special Illustration Rare cards
• Full-art Supporters
• Shiny Charizard ex
• Shiny Pikachu
• Shiny Mimikyu
• Other favorite Pokémon

This uncertainty is part of what makes opening Pokémon TCG booster packs exciting.

Shiny Charizard ex

One of the most recognizable cards associated with Paldean Fates is Shiny Charizard ex.

Charizard already has a long history as one of the most recognizable Pokémon in the Pokémon TCG.

Paldean Fates combines Charizard with two major Scarlet & Violet themes: Shiny Pokémon and Terastallization.

Shiny Charizard ex therefore represents one of the expansion’s major collecting themes.

The nine booster packs in the ETB give collectors an opportunity to explore the expansion while searching for cards such as this.

Shiny Pikachu

Shiny Pikachu is another notable Pokémon featured in Paldean Fates.

Pikachu is one of the most recognizable Pokémon in the franchise, making its Shiny version an interesting addition to a Shiny-focused expansion.

Its presence also demonstrates the variety of Pokémon available in the set.

Collectors can explore popular Pokémon alongside less common species while working through the Paldean Fates card pool.

Shiny Tera Pokémon ex

Paldean Fates combines Shiny Pokémon with the Tera Pokémon ex mechanic.

The expansion includes Shiny Tera Pokémon ex such as:

• Shiny Charizard ex
• Shiny Forretress ex
• Shiny Espathra ex

These cards combine the alternate coloration of Shiny Pokémon with the Terastal theme introduced during the Scarlet & Violet generation.

For collectors following the development of the Scarlet & Violet TCG era, this combination makes Paldean Fates an interesting special expansion.

65 Shiny Mimikyu Card Sleeves

The ETB includes 65 card sleeves featuring Shiny Mimikyu.

These sleeves are designed for both practical use and collecting.

Players can use them to protect a standard 60-card Pokémon TCG deck.

Collectors can also use them to protect favorite Paldean Fates cards or other cards in their collection.

The additional sleeves provide a few replacements beyond the standard deck requirement.

More importantly, the Shiny Mimikyu artwork ties the sleeves directly to the promo card included in the box.

45 Pokémon TCG Energy Cards

The Paldean Fates ETB includes 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards.

Energy cards are a basic part of Pokémon TCG gameplay because Pokémon generally require Energy to use their attacks.

For new players, the included Energy cards can help when learning the fundamentals of deck building.

For experienced players, they can be used when testing or modifying decks.

This gives the ETB a practical purpose beyond opening booster packs.

Dice and Condition Markers

The ETB also contains gameplay accessories.

These include:

• 6 damage-counter dice
• 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
• 2 plastic condition markers

Damage-counter dice help players track damage during a match.

The coin-flip die can be used when a card effect requires a coin flip.

The condition markers help players keep track of Special Conditions affecting Pokémon.

These accessories are useful for anyone who intends to play the Pokémon TCG.

Paldean Fates Player’s Guide

A Player’s Guide is included with the Elite Trainer Box.

The guide provides a convenient reference for the Paldean Fates expansion.

For collectors, it can help them explore the card pool and keep track of cards they want to collect.

For players, it provides additional information about the expansion and its cards.

It is also part of the original ETB presentation, making it relevant to sealed-product collectors.

Collector’s Box and Four Dividers

The Paldean Fates ETB comes with a collector’s box containing four dividers.

The storage box can be used to organize cards and accessories.

For example, collectors can separate:

• Shiny Pokémon
• Pokémon ex
• Trainer cards
• Energy cards
• Duplicate cards
• Deck-building materials

The box also helps keep the original ETB accessories together.

For collectors who enjoy keeping their products complete, the storage box is part of the original product configuration.

Pokémon TCG Live Code Card

The Paldean Fates ETB includes a Pokémon TCG Live code card.

This gives the physical product a connection to the digital Pokémon TCG experience.

Eligible codes can be redeemed through Pokémon TCG Live.

For sealed collectors, the code card is also one of the original components of the ETB.

Paldean Fates Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

There is also a separate Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box for Paldean Fates.

The Pokémon Center version contains 11 booster packs, compared with nine in the standard ETB.

It also includes two Shiny Mimikyu promo cards.

One is the standard promo, while the other features a Pokémon Center logo.

This makes the Pokémon Center version a distinct product configuration for collectors.
