Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box

The Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box is a collector-focused product built around one of the most popular Pokémon families in the franchise: Eevee and its Evolutions.

Released on February 7, 2025, the Surprise Box combines four booster packs from the special Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions expansion with one randomly selected foil promo card featuring Eevee or one of its eight Evolutions as a Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.

The “surprise” comes from the promo card. Each box contains one of nine possible promos, so you do not know which Eevee family Pokémon is inside until the box is opened.

It also includes a dedicated storage box with four dividers, making the product useful for both opening and organizing a Pokémon card collection.

What Is the Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box?

The Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box is a special collection from the Scarlet & Violet era.

Unlike a standard booster product, it combines sealed booster packs with a guaranteed promotional card.

The main attraction is the random Eevee or Eeveelution promo.

Possible promo Pokémon include:

• Eevee ex
• Vaporeon ex
• Jolteon ex
• Flareon ex
• Espeon ex
• Umbreon ex
• Leafeon ex
• Glaceon ex
• Sylveon ex

All nine appear as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex with a special product logo.

This makes the product particularly interesting for collectors trying to assemble an Eeveelution-themed collection.

What Comes Inside the Surprise Box?

Each sealed Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box contains:

• 4 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs
• 1 randomly selected foil promo card
• 1 storage box
• 4 card dividers
• 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card

The four booster packs are from the Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions expansion.

Each Prismatic Evolutions booster pack contains 10 cards and 1 Basic Energy, with the card contents varying from pack to pack.

The product therefore gives collectors both guaranteed and random elements.

You know you are receiving a promo card, but you do not know which of the nine versions will be inside.

The Nine Surprise Promo Cards

The nine possible promo cards are the main reason for the product’s name.

The lineup represents Eevee and all eight of its traditional Evolutions.

Eevee ex

Eevee is the foundation of the entire collection.

The promo presents Eevee as a Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, giving the classic Pokémon a modern Scarlet & Violet-era treatment.

Vaporeon ex

Vaporeon represents the Water-type Evolution of Eevee.

Its inclusion gives collectors a blue-themed alternative within the nine-card promo lineup.

Jolteon ex

Jolteon is Eevee’s Electric-type Evolution.

Its bright yellow design makes it one of the instantly recognizable members of the Eevee family.

Flareon ex

Flareon is the Fire-type Evolution.

The fiery Pokémon adds another elemental variation to the promo collection.

Espeon ex

Espeon represents the Psychic-type Evolution introduced in Generation II.

It is one of the two original friendship-based Eeveelutions from Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Umbreon ex

Umbreon is the Dark-type Evolution introduced alongside Espeon.

Its dark design makes it particularly distinctive among the nine possible promo cards.

Leafeon ex

Leafeon is the Grass-type Evolution of Eevee.

Its nature-inspired appearance provides a strong contrast to the darker Umbreon and the fiery Flareon.

Glaceon ex

Glaceon is the Ice-type Evolution introduced in Generation IV.

Its icy appearance fits naturally into the colorful range of Eeveelution artwork.

Sylveon ex

Sylveon is the Fairy-type Evolution introduced in Generation VI.

It completes the original eight Eeveelutions represented in the Surprise Box promo lineup.

Why Is the Promo Card Random?

The random promo system creates the central “surprise” element.

Every box contains one of the nine promo cards, but the specific Pokémon is randomly selected.

This means opening one box does not guarantee a specific Eeveelution.

For example, if you are specifically looking for Umbreon ex, you cannot assume that the next unopened Surprise Box will contain Umbreon.

Collectors wanting all nine promos would need to obtain multiple products or acquire individual cards separately.

Prismatic Evolutions: The Booster Packs

The four booster packs are from Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions, a special expansion heavily focused on Eevee and its Evolutions.

The official Pokémon set page describes the expansion as featuring Eevee’s Evolutions as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, alongside Pokémon ex from Paldea and beyond. It contains more than 175 cards and includes Special Illustration Rare cards.

This makes the booster packs especially relevant to Eevee collectors.

You could potentially pull cards featuring:

• Eevee
• Vaporeon
• Jolteon
• Flareon
• Espeon
• Umbreon
• Leafeon
• Glaceon
• Sylveon
• Other Pokémon from the Scarlet & Violet era

The contents are randomized, so the four packs do not guarantee a particular rarity or Pokémon.

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex

One of the defining features of Prismatic Evolutions is the Stellar Tera treatment.

Eevee and its Evolutions appear as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex within the expansion and the Surprise Box promo lineup.

This connects the classic Eeveelutions with the Terastal phenomenon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The result is a visual combination of:

• Eevee’s classic designs
• Terastal crystal imagery
• Pokémon ex mechanics
• Scarlet & Violet-era card design

This is one of the main reasons Prismatic Evolutions has such a strong collector identity.

The Storage Box and Dividers

The Surprise Box is not simply packaging for the booster packs.

The product includes a storage box with four dividers that can be used to organize Pokémon cards.

This makes the box practical after opening.

Collectors can use the dividers to separate:

• Eevee cards
• Eeveelution cards
• Pokémon ex
• Trainer cards
• Energy cards
• Duplicate cards

It can also be used to store cards from the wider Prismatic Evolutions collection.

Surprise Box vs Elite Trainer Box

Prismatic Evolutions was released in several different product configurations.

The Surprise Box focuses on:

• 4 booster packs
• 1 random Eeveelution promo
• Storage
• Dividers

The Elite Trainer Box provides a larger number of booster packs along with accessories such as sleeves, dice and other gameplay supplies.

The official Pokémon product page lists both products as part of the Prismatic Evolutions release lineup.

This makes the Surprise Box more compact and specifically centered around its random promo card.

Surprise Box vs Booster Bundle

The Prismatic Evolutions Booster Bundle is another product that should not be confused with the Surprise Box.

The Surprise Box includes:

• 4 booster packs
• 1 random promo
• Storage box
• 4 dividers
• Code card

The Booster Bundle is primarily a multi-pack product.

The key difference is that the Surprise Box comes with the dedicated Eevee/Eeveelution promo and storage accessories.

Why Collect the Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box?

There are several reasons collectors may be interested in this product.

Eevee and Eeveelutions

The product is built around one of Pokémon’s most recognizable families.

All nine possible promos belong to the Eevee family.

Random Promo Experience

The unknown promo adds a genuine surprise when the product is opened.

Four Prismatic Evolutions Packs

You also receive four booster packs from one of the Scarlet & Violet era’s Eeveelution-focused expansions.

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex

The promo cards combine the Eevee family with the Stellar Tera mechanic.

Storage

The included storage box and dividers make the product useful after opening.

Sealed Collection Appeal

The Surprise Box itself can also be collected as sealed Pokémon TCG merchandise.

Opening the Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box

Opening the product provides two separate collecting experiences.

First, you discover your randomly selected promo.

Then you open the four Prismatic Evolutions booster packs.

Possible discoveries include:

• Pokémon ex
• Stellar Tera Pokémon ex
• Special Illustration Rare cards
• Other high-rarity cards
• Eeveelution cards
• Trainer cards
• Energy cards

However, individual pulls are random.

The product guarantees the presence of one promo from the nine-card lineup, but it does not guarantee which promo you receive or what rarities will appear in the four booster packs.

Keeping the Surprise Box Sealed

The product also works well as a sealed collectible.

Keeping it unopened preserves:

• The original product packaging
• The four booster packs
• The mystery promo configuration
• The Eevee-themed artwork
• The original storage box
• The sealed presentation

For sealed Pokémon TCG collectors, the Surprise Box represents a specific product from the 2025 Prismatic Evolutions release cycle.

How to Store a Sealed Surprise Box

If you decide to keep your box sealed, proper storage can help preserve the packaging.

Keep it:

• Away from direct sunlight
• In a cool, dry environment
• Away from high humidity
• Away from water
• Away from extreme heat
• Away from heavy pressure
• On a stable shelf

Avoid stacking heavy products on top of the box.

The cardboard packaging can be vulnerable to crushing, moisture and prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Building an Eeveelution Collection

The Surprise Box can be used as part of a broader Eevee collection.

A collector could organize an Eevee-themed collection around:

• Eevee
• Vaporeon
• Jolteon
• Flareon
• Espeon
• Umbreon
• Leafeon
• Glaceon
• Sylveon

You could also combine the Surprise Box promos with:

• Prismatic Evolutions cards
• Older Eeveelution cards
• Pokémon ex cards
• Special Illustration Rare cards
• Japanese Eeveelution products
• Eevee merchandise

This creates a collection centered around one Pokémon family rather than one specific expansion.
